Scott Henshall

In 1998, Scott became the youngest designer to show during London Fashion Week and in 2002 he won the Vidal Sassoon Award for Cutting Edge Talent. Later that year, Scott was made Creative Director of British luxury brand Mulberry, where the Times credited him for taking the Mulberry name into the 21st century.

Scott has gone on to achieve big success in the global fashion community as a world class fashion designer. His own labels have sold in over 300 shops worldwide including Harvey Nichols, Harrods, Joseph, Koh Samui, Colette (Paris), Bergdorf Goodman (NY), Fred Segal (LA), Joyce (Hong Kong) and Isetan and Abahouse (Japan). He has also worked closely with established brands such as Burberry, Liberty, Laura Ashley and Cath Kidston.

Scott’s message dressing outfits have been widely celebrated on the world stage and he has received critical acclaim for his unique designs, including the world’s most expensive dress – costing £5m and sporting over 5,000 web-cut diamonds.

       

His collections have been worn by many famous artists including Madonna, Victoria Beckham, Kylie & Danni Minogue, Dame Kelly Holmes, Wycliffe Jean and Bruce Willis.

On screen, Scott presents television series Kitchen Sink to Catwalk (Bio Channel) where he mentors and is the “NFBF” (new fashion best friend!) to the six ladies competing. His other television credits include The Clothes Show (UKTV), Paris Hilton’s New Best Friend & WAGS Boutique (ITV2), Glamour’s Best Dressed (Five), Britain’s Next Top Model, Skinny Celebrity Mums and The Changing Faces of… (Living) and he has even brought his general knowledge to The Weakest Link- Celebrity Lifestyle Special, and his culinary skills to Ready Steady Cook (BBC1). In 2009, Scott and his trio of Yorkshire puddings became the proud winner of Britain’s Best Dish (ITV1).

Scott (34) originates from Yorkshire. He studied fashion at the University of Northumbria in Newcastle where he continues to inspire young designers.
Behind the scenes, Scott is an Ambassador for The Prince’s Trust and in 2007 he received a prestigious award from the Queen at Buckingham Palace for his contribution to English fashion and design.
