Scott Waldron

Scott hit our screens in 2006 as the winner of Ann Maurice - Interior Rivalry. Shortly after winning, Scott launched his own business, Staging Space, which focuses on various aspects of Interior Design, including helping homeowners achieve the most from their homes, whether it be "house-doctoring" a property that is stuck on the market, staging a property for rental or redesigning your current or new home for living.

Scott's philosophy and aim is to bring a new angle to interior design - creating homes that fit your lifestyle and your budget.

Ann Maurice said, "Scott had just about everything I was looking for. He's organised, has good people skills and his background as a dancer helps him perform well under pressure. He just goes for it, with everything he has. He's sharp and has an amazing eye for design, Scott was the perfect choice."

Scott now gives talks and workshops about his work and he has recently joined the designer team for ITV's popular daytime series "60 Minute Makeover", the new series will transmit later in the year.

A recent commission was to furnish and redesign the new home of Duncan James (ex-Blue), which would enable him to move in immediately. Scott achieved this by using his knowledge of sourcing individual pieces efficiently and promptly turned the apartment into a home.

Duncan James said, "Hiring Scott at stagingspace enabled me to leave my empty flat in his capable hands for a few days and return to find a home exactly how I wanted it, without the hassle of doing it myself. I'm really pleased with the outstanding result."

Another commission included a show flat for a luxury development in Yorkshire. Scott was tasked to manage the project and turn the empty apartment into a luxury home which would inspire potential buyers to visualise their new home and lifestyle. The brief was to source all the furniture and accessories locally and then create the perfect home with his expert vision of design.

Rob Short - Director of West Bretton Developments said, "We met the Estate Agent on site today to finalise details of the development and like us, he thought the show flat was fantastic, I have never seen an Agent speechless for so long !!"

Scott (33) started out as a professional dancer, having trained at The Royal Ballet School from the age of 11.  He was born and raised in Barnsley, South Yorkshire and his story has similar traits to Billy Elliot. The majority of his work has been within the television arena, backing various recording artists and on high profile programmes such as CDUK, Top Of The Pops, X Factor and Stars In Their Eyes. His passiion to move into interior design came after refurbishing and styling a number of properties for family and friends.  The rest, as they say, is history!
